Locate safety cameras in a flash!
A new facility which enables residents to view the location of every safety camera in Lincolnshire is now available.
The new online Safety Camera Map, which is part of the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership website shows the location of all 124 cameras in the county.
The map allows you to search for cameras by radius or by a specific postcode or town. It also enables you to get directions which then pin point safety cameras along the route.
As well as giving the exact location of the camera, other details are given such as speed limits, collision information and injury statistics for before and after the cameras were implemented.
John Siddle, Lincolnshire Road safety Partnership spokesperson said,
“Safety cameras are used to sustain casualty reduction at sites where high speeds and collisions have been identified. We hope that this new mapping system will allow people to easily find camera locations within the county so that they can slow down and help improve safety in our communities without getting a speeding ticket.”
