The new LCC site has been live for two weeks now and it’s so far so good.
The site launched on the 10 November after going through a complete redesign. Months of preparation have lead to what you now see and many of the changes were in response to listening to the needs of Lincolnshire people.
Since the launch comments have been coming in thick and fast,
“We’ve received many compliments about our new site and less than a handful of people have commented adversely about the change. That’s very unusual when you make such radical changes to such a well used site” said Peter Barton, Head of Web and Information Governance.

After months of hard work and late nights the new Lincolnshire County Council website is now live!
Please follow this link to have a look and feel free to post your thoughts below.
The main Lincolnshire County Council website is set to change tomorrow.
We listened to the comments and ideas you sent to us during the consultation period. We’ve incorporated those ideas (like the use of tabbed pages for example) and added some of our own to ensure you get to the information on the site as quickly and easily as possible.
Look out for a radical new design with features you said you wanted. Like drop down navigation, an improved search, a better and more descriptive A-Z, visitor login for improved access to regularly used information, better use of maps and much more.
During the first few days we shall still be moving information over from the previous site so please bear with us.
We’ll be adding help screens and hints on how to use the site too.
We hope you like the new, cleaner site with fast access to data.
A new and improved A-Z of council services will feature on the new site. It will allow you to find key service information quickly and easily.
As well as gaining key information about a range of council services you will also be able to find out contact details and even a location via a map.
There will also be an A-Z search that makes finding services even easier.
You now have the ability to register on the new site, in order to gain easy access to site content as well as a range of other things.
It only takes a few moments to do and once you have registered you will be able to:
- Create lists of your favourite pages and discussions
- Sign up to receive newsletters and email alerts
- Create your own profile
- Gain access to private areas if needed
